Share Your Screen in a Teams Meeting
All meeting rooms including the Council Chambers are set up with a plug and display dongle. This makes it quick and easy to show what's on your laptop on the meeting room display screen.
How to share your screen
- Locate the meeting display dongle in the meeting room (see image below)
- Plug the dongle into your laptop
- Wait a few moments
- Your screen will automatically appear on the meeting room display
That's it. No buttons to press and no settings to change.

Using this with Teams meetings
- If you are in a Teams meeting, anything shown on the meeting room display screen will also be visible to people joining remotely.
- This means you only need to plug in once to share with everyone, both in the room and online.
Who can use this
Council staff and external collaborators using their own laptops can use the meeting display dongle.
If the content doesn't appear straight away
- Give it a few extra seconds after plugging in
- Try unplugging and plugging the meeting display dongle back in
