Join a Teams Meeting

You can join from your computer, your phone, or a meeting room.

From your computer

Open your meeting in your calendar and select Join, or select the Join the meeting now link in the invitation.

The meeting opens in Teams. Before you join, check the audio and camera settings on the preview screen — this is where you pick the right microphone if you have a headset plugged in..

From a meeting room

If the room was added as the meeting location, tap Join on the touchscreen inside the room. That is all it takes.

If your meeting is not showing on the console, the room was not set as the location. You can still join from your laptop and share to the screen using the meeting display dongle.

From your phone

Open the invitation in Outlook and tap the join link. You will need the Teams app — install it before you need it rather than in the car park.

By phone call

If the invitation includes a phone number and conference ID, you can dial in for audio only. Useful when you are in the field with poor data coverage.
