Register for Self-Service Password Reset

If you forget your password, need to change it, or get locked out of your Kingborough Council account, you can easily reset it yourself using your phone. But first, you'll need to do a quick one-time setup.

Step 1: Setup Self-Service Password Reset (One-Time)

  • Sign in to the Security info portal using your current Kingborough Council email and password.

Note: You can access the Security info portal by opening any Microsoft 365 app (such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint), clicking your profile photo, selecting View account, and then selecting Security info.

Add two Sign-In Options from the Security Info page:

  • Microsoft Authenticator app
  • Your personal email address

These help verify your identity if you ever get locked out.

Need to add one?

  • Click + Add sign-in method
  • Choose either the Authenticator App or Email
  • Follow the steps to enter your details and confirm with the code we sent you

That's it! 🎉 You've now set up to reset your password at any time.

Step 2: Reset your Password (Anytime)

If you've forgotten your Kingborough Council password, need to update it, or have been locked out of your account:

  • Visit the password reset page
  • Follow the prompts to verify your identity using your mobile or email
  • Set a new password and you're back in!
