Project Office Door and Alarm Access

The new security system and swipe card readers at the Project Office are now active. This system controls access and alarms for both the main office and the adjacent meeting room. Please follow the instructions below to unlock/lock and arm/disarm each area correctly.

Unlocking and disarming the doors and alarm system.

1. Office
   1. Approach the door and swipe your card once on the reader next to the door.  This will unlock the office door and disarm the entire building.
   2. The office door will then stay unlocked until the system is locked/armed.
2. Meeting Room
   1. Approach the door and swipe your card once on the reader next to the door.  This will unlock the meeting room door and disarm the meeting room only.
   2. The meeting room door will lock every time it is shut, and you will need to swipe in every time you enter. 
   3. If there is a meeting on and people are coming and going, there is a door stop to hold the door open during that time.

Locking and arming the doors and alarm system.

1. Office
   1. Exit the door and swipe your card three times on the reader next to the door.  This will lock the office door and arm the entire building.
   2. The system will beep for about 30sec to let you know that it is arming.
2. Meeting Room
   1. Exit the door and swipe your card three times on the reader next to the door.  This will arm the meeting room only (the door locks automatically when it is shut.
   2. The system will beep for about 30sec to let you know that it is arming.

If we need to unlock the doors with the key for any reason:

1. Office
   1. Unlock the door with your key
   2. Turn the keypad off (next to the door) with the same code we use currently (you should all know what that is).  To do this, enter your code and press ‘off’ button.
   3. This will disarm the entire building.
2. Meeting Room
   1. You can lock/unlock this door with your key but there is no keypad in there anymore so can’t disarm from here.  Need to arm/disarm in the office.

Locking the doors with the key:

1. Office
   1. Turn the keypad on (next to the door) with the same code we use currently (you should all know what that is).  To do this, enter your code and press ‘on’ button.
   2. The system will beep for about 30sec to let you know that it is arming.
   3. This will arm the entire building.
   4. Lock the door with your key.
2. Meeting Room
   1. You can lock/unlock this door with your key but there is no keypad in there anymore so can’t disarm from here.  Need to arm/disarm in the office.
