Request a New Starter (People & Safety)

This help doc is for the People & Safety team to use when requesting a new user account for a new colleague joining Kingborough Council.

Initiate the Request

To start the process, please submit a request via the Help Hub with the following details.

Use the format below as a template (with a real example for reference):

Subject: New Starter – Angie Everingham: Commences 27/05/2025

Example:

Hi team,

Please create an account for Angie Everingham.

- Commencement Date: 27/05/2025 
- Manager: David Spinks 
- Department: People & Safety 
- Position Title: Manager People & Safety 
- Direct Reports: (None listed)

For access management, please replicate Nathan Tenaglia’s account.

Template:

Hi team,

Please create an account for "Employee Name".

- Commencement Date: 
- Manager: 
- Department: 
- Position Title: 
- Direct Reports: 

For access management, please replicate "Copy computer access form" account.

What Happens Next

Once the request is submitted, it will trigger the New Starter Account workflow managed by the Digital Experience team.

This includes:

  • Creating the required user account(s)
  • Setting up access (replicating the referenced colleague)
  • Sending automated onboarding notifications to both the Manager and the New Starter
  • Digital Experience will notify Recruitment@kingborough.tas.gov.au once the account has been created.
