Print to the Large Format Printer (Canon TM-305)

If you need to print a large document, you can use the Canon TM-305 printer, which is a large A0 printer. Here’s how:

1. Make sure both the printer and the screen next to it are turned on.

   You don’t need to log in to the screen; check that it’s powered up.

2. Go back to your computer.

   If the Canon TM-305 printer is not already installed, open File Explorer (the folder icon), type \\smartworkspc\NewBigInky into the address bar at the top, and press Enter. Follow the prompts to connect to the printer.

3. Open the file you want to print.

   Important: Don’t use Microsoft Edge — it can print the wrong size.

   Instead, right-click on your PDF file and select Open with > Adobe Acrobat Reader.

4. In Adobe, click Print.

   Choose Canon TM-305 as the printer, then click Properties.

5. In Properties, select the desired paper size (e.g. A1 or A0).

   Check your document size:

   Select Fit to have it resize automatically, or

   Use Custom Scale to adjust it manually if needed.

6. Once ready, click OK to close the Properties window, then click Print to begin printing.
7. After printing, you can use the paper trimmer provided to trim the edges neatly if needed.
