This is a short guide that briefly describes the Microsoft 365 apps available from m365.cloud.microsoft

Microsoft Word - More than just typing

What it is: A word processor for creating document, reports, forms, and more.

  • Use built-in templates for resumes, meeting notes, or letters.
  • Turn on Read Aloud to listen to your writing.
  • Use Editor (under Review tab) for spelling and grammar suggestions.

Microsoft Excel - Make numbers make sense

What it is: A spreadsheet tool used for tracking data, creating checklists, and doing calculations.

  • Use tables to organise a simple list (e.g. office supplies or events).
  • Try the AutoSum button to quickly add up totals.
  • Use filters to find what you're looking for in large lists.

Microsoft PowerPoint - Present with impact

What it is: A tool for creating slide presentations, posters, or visual content.

  • Use Designer to make your slides look professional instantly.
  • Add images, icons, or Smart Art to make your message visual.
  • Record a voiceover for remote presentations.

Microsoft Forms - Create a quick survey or quiz

What it is: A simple tool for collecting feedback, RSVPs, or quiz responses.

  • Create a quick survey for a team lunch or event.
  • Use quizzes to create fun knowledge checks.
  • See results automatically collected in a visual summary.

Microsoft Planner - Keep your tasks on track

What it is: A visual task board to track work across a team or personal projects.

  • Create a new plan for a project or event.
  • Add buckets (like To Do, In Porgress, Done).
  • Assign tasks with due dates and checklists.
