Join a Zoom Meeting

Joining a Zoom meeting is quick and easy! You don’t need a Zoom account to join a meeting someone else has set up.

  • Click the invite link provided by the host, for example in a calendar or email invitation, and follow the on-screen instructions
  • Alternatively, open the Zoom desktop client
  • Click the Home tab
  • Click the Join icon
  • Enter the meeting ID provided by the meeting host
  • If prompted, enter the meeting passcode
  • Click Join

You will then join the meeting or waiting room, if enabled by the host.

Helpful tips:

  • Make sure your camera and microphone are working if you plan to speak or be seen
  • If you're having trouble, try closing other programs and restarting your device
