Setting Up ECM Delegations
When you are planning leave of any kind and someone else will need to be acting in your role, you will need to delegate your tasks (or delegate everything, depending on the level of access you wish them to have). This must be done before you go on leave, as the Digital Experience team will no longer have access to everyone’s task lists like in previous versions of ECM.
Set a Delegation
- Log in to CI Anywhere/ECM.
- In the top right-hand corner of your screen, you will see your name as you are logged in. Click on your name
- This will then open a new window showing your details. Click on My Account
- Click on Delegations within the left-hand side menu options
- Then click on the + Add button in the top right corner of your screen. This will give you the option to Delegate everything or Delegate my tasks. Select which is appropriate for your situation.
- Follow the prompts in order to delegate your tasks to the person dealing with your tasks in your absence. A start date is a mandatory field, but the end date can be left blank (if you are unsure of your return date), and the delegation will have to be manually cancelled on your return. It is important that you remember to go back in and cancel this, or the person acting in your position will keep getting all your tasks.
The Delegations should now be set, and you can see that it is set up for a Future delegation. If you need to go in and check the details, you can click on the View button.
Cancelling a Delegation
If you need to cancel the delegation, click on the drop-down menu button and click Cancel
Note: if you check the details to ensure that they are correct, make sure you don’t click ‘cancel’ instead of using the back arrow to go back to the previous view, as this will cancel the delegation you just set. The ‘Future’ item will then be viewed as ‘Cancelled’.
